H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, visited Global Farms as part of “the Economic Engagement” initiative launched by the Ministry of Economy. This initiative aims to enhance collaboration with the business community in the UAE.
The visit focused on sharing insights about the latest national policies and strategies to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of the food industry sector. One of the key strategies highlighted was the economic clusters strategy that the UAE is developing to support the growth of the national economy.
The visit also showcased Global Farms’ next-generation farming model, designed to produce fresh fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and figs, while maintaining a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
This innovative approach is powered by advanced agricultural technologies that the Minister explored during the tour, including greenhouse systems engineered for energy efficiency and optimized crop production. These systems work in tandem with state-of-the-art quality control processes, ensuring adherence to global standards through consistent monitoring and meticulous oversight of produce quality.
